In this world you will have trouble. Period. End of the sentence. You will. I will. I do. You do. And yet. Take heart.
Why? Because He has overcome the world!
Notice it is past tense.
Not I will overcome.
Not I may overcome.
Nope! I have He said!
Perhaps we can look our troubles squarely in the face today and say Perhaps I can’t overcome you. But that’s okay. Because He already has!
