Follower of Yeshua. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother. Some call me a teacher. Some say I'm a prayer warrior. A few accredit me with some writing skills. Me? I say I'm a work in slow progress, looking for perfection in eternity and until then having all the holy fun I know how.

So Be It

I think I am ready for 2012 to be a ‘So Be It’ year. The year that will finally be the season for me to be so transformed by the love of JESUS for Him and for others, empowered in love and by love to tell the Truth to every soul who knocks on my door with questions. To be willing to be politically incorrect for JESUS sake. To be willing to run the risk of hurt feelings in order to gain a brother or sister into surrendered fellowship with JESUS CHRIST. Truthfully, it is frightening to approach life this way. But eternity depends on it.

There are just some things in life that are what they are. God said it and that settles it. And whether you or I believe it is irrelevant to the fact that it is Truth. God does not change, nor has or will what He spoke in Eternity Past change. He has been since eternity began – doesn’t that hurt the brain??? Since eternity had no beginning, just perpetual always for always – it is what it is.  And so let me practice: if that offends you, let me say with much love . . . so be it.

Well, that was not so bad but then the questions of the 2012 election, abortion, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, immodesty, un-forgiveness, refusal to reconcile, cheating, lying, refusing truth, robbing God and man, etc., etc. have not been asked yet; have they? And when they are — Oh may I be found faithful!! I covet your prayers!

Truth here! Blogging ‘so be it’ is much easier than face-to-face ‘so be it’ — y’all know that don’t you? I surely do.

I think the crux of this ‘so be it’ is going to hinge on loving folks so much that I am willing to be uncomfortable; willing to let them hate me or at least disrespect my JESUS and me. I covet your prayers for a ‘so be it’ year.

If you’d like for me to pray for a ‘so be it’ for you, send me an email and I will covenant to pray with you.

Hebrews 13:1-3

The Changeless Christ

1 Let love of the brethren continue.
2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
3 Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.

I am inviting you all to join in with Leah Adams and me.  She is leading us through the book of Hebrews in 2012. I think it is doable even with all the other activities we have going on this year.  Please click here and take a read, be encouraged and say YES to ‘will you join us?’

Back to Work!

Officially our play days are all but gone!  My beloved gets to go back to the office in the morning. I will miss having him around here underfoot :) It’s been good to relax and lay much of my routines aside for a spell, but tomorrow it’s back to business.

On Sunday my Pastor (Roy Hill) gave a superb sermon. I’d like to share his five major points:

Five Resolutions every Christian should make:

1. Do the things I told Christ I would do on the day He saved me.
2. Love Christ more. And here’s how: Love Him FIRST. Love Him MOST. Love Him DAILY. And there’s more. To do this means DAILY I will spend time in the WORD. DAILY I will seize time for talking to Him. DAILY I will invest time LISTENING to Him.
3. Share my faith. Look at every person I see as someone Jesus died for and when the HOLY SPIRIT prompts and opens the door, TELL THEM JESUS died for them.
4. Be the family member God wants me to be. For me, that’s being a godly wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or cousin.
5. Be the church member God wants me to be. That means show up and let JESUS show out in me.

And here at the close of day 2, I could have practiced these better BUT tomorrow His mercies are fresh and new and practice makes perfect!! :)

Lamentations 3: 21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope:
22 It is through the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.
24 “The LORD is my portion,” saith my soul, “Therefore will I hope in Him.”
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
