A Quiet Summer

Summer is underway!  The days are long, the nights are short and GRANDS put a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart!

As we navigate these next several weeks, praying for one another is of utmost importance. Busy days and short nights leave less time it seems to sit quietly before the LORD. I covet the prayers of the saints that times of quiet and refreshing will be the norm and not a rarity this summer. Perhaps you do as well.

15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your trust in the Lord Yeshua and your love for all God’s people,
16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you. In my prayers I keep asking
17 the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of him.
18 I pray that he will give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will understand the hope to which he has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance he has promised his people,
19 and how surpassingly great is his power working in us who trust him. It works with the same mighty strength he used
20 when he worked in the Messiah to raise him from the dead and seat him at his right hand in heaven,
21 far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion or any other name that can be named either in the ‘olam hazeh* or in the ‘olam haba**.
22 Also, he has put all things under his feet and made him head over everything for the Messianic Community,
23 which is his body, the full expression of him who fills all creation.

Amen and amen, ABBA, for each One who comes here to read and pray, I pray the eyes of our hearts will be open this Summer; that You will indeed give each of us wisdom and revelation; to more and more be intimately acquainted with You; that we will more and more meditate and practice the knowledge and power that You are within us. And we continue to ask for healings of certain Ones so loved and so ill, especially those to the point of death. Many concerns we bring with us here; sort them out, comfort, convict and transform as You will, ABBA, in JESUS name.

Be Hidden in CHRIST my Friends,

I Know. I Know.

I am flat wore out! Taxes! I know. I know. Shouldn’t have waited till April 11 to start them. Does it count that I gathered all the pertinent documents into one place all the year in 2012? Of course it does. It helped a lot today.  Even so the procedure was excruciating. But the worst is over!! :)

And as I type it is well into Thursday evening — I should be sleeping but I wanted to post a Friday morning hello to you.

Hello Friends!

I like Fridays. Don’t you?

I like Fridays because Fridays are one day till Saturday! And Saturdays are my favorite day of the week. I know. I know. That is not what a good Christian is suppose to say – Sunday should be my favorite day of the week. Well I do enjoy Sundays. I get to teach a Bible Class and actually ministering in JESUS name really is my favorite of all things and life is most beautiful when we do that every day!

However, Saturdays I usually get to spend with my hubby, just he and I – the only day of the week that we can sleep late, and then decide: what will it be – work or play or both? We can get as grimy and dirty working as we want and not be concerned about how we look or we can decide to play all day. Yep! Saturdays are my favorite!

So. Do you have a favorite day? Which one? And Why?

And JESUS said:

Matthew 11:

28 “Come to me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Go for a REST this weekend my Friends. Watch a good movie. Like this one. Follow the link for the trailer: Encounter

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for fun; just plain good wholesome light heart-ed fun. Thank You, JESUS. It is because of You that we have such times as these. Thank You. And I pray for refreshment and holy humor for all who gather here today – whatever day they happen to stop by. I love You LORD JESUS. Thank You for loving me. And one more light heart-ed request give my treasured friend Bev a very happy happy birthday. Thank You, ABBA.

Rivers & Nudges

This first mention of a river in the Bible is found in Genesis.

10 A river went out of ‘Eden to water the garden, and from there it divided into four streams.

via Genesis 2:9-11 KJV;CJB – And out of the ground made the LORD God – Bible Gateway.

The last mention of a river in Scripture is addressed at Revelation 22.

Revelation 22:1-3 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

22 Next the angel showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 Between the main street and the river was the Tree of Life producing twelve kinds of fruit, a different kind every month; and the leaves of the tree were for healing the nations — 3 no longer will there be any curses. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him;

And in between there are many more. Click HERE to see all 217. It would be a worthy study, don’t you think? Like this: Long before the Psalmist saw the City of GOD, he knew there was a river. How did he know? Yeah. We know, don’t we? :)

Psalm 45:4

(4) There is a river whose streams gladden the city of God, the holy habitation of ‘Elyon —

ABBA,thank You for this River. Thank You that You have quenched our thirst and that forever we shall drink from Your River. Thank You for Fruit yet to be eaten; for the eternal healing of every hurt and every disease. Thank You, LORD YESHUA, for Your Sacrifice that has saved us. And thank You that here in Time You are also our Healer and because You are we ask You to heal Jamie. And Terri. Alyssa. Lance. Kerri. Dori. And others named in each of our respective hearts. Thank You for protecting Pam; thank You for maneuvering those vehicles so there was only little damage to each; thank You, ABBA, for sparing both their lives. Thank You for healthy test scores. Thank You for Moms, give them steady hands as they guide their children: Dawn comes to mind, as do Others. Collectively, all us gathered here come now casting our many cares upon You; thank You for receiving them; thank You for answering, ABBA. And, HOLY SPIRIT, thank You so much for Your nudges; Yes, we welcome Your conviction and correction; we do not want to take Your blessings or Your Love for granted; we do not want to live our lives sloppily; so we lay open our hearts for inspection and thank You for making us worthy vessels in Your Kingdom work. We praise You now for what You are bringing to be.

Life Lines

I am thinking about Life Verses in these moments. This one has been a LIFE LINE for me many times. It remains so.

Psalm 145:17-18 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
via Ps 145:17-18 NASB - The LORD is righteous in all His ways - Bible Gateway.

So what are your LIFE LINES? Where in Scripture have you found a place you can always go and find peace, rest, comfort, strength; whatever the need of the moment?

ABBA, Thank You for the LIFE LINES in Your Word; thank You for my own personal life line. Thank You that every time I throw it around my heart You rescue me. So, ABBA, for souls dear and precious, we throw our life lines today. You know our hearts and You know our pleas, our cries and we rest in You. We are resting for Jamie. Alyssa. Terri. and all the others that Readers bring to this gathering place. HOLY SPIRIT, take our feeble words and tune them to strong and fervent prayers that avail much in JESUS name.
