I’ll Take It

I was distracted this morning on my way to the kitchen for a bottle of water; when I arrived back to the dressing room I remembered my water. And it was there that a victory was achieved. I’ll take it!

This time rather than berating myself for forgetting the bottle of water I prayed. I voiced, “Thank You, ABBA, that I now remember the water; thank You for health and strength to again walk to the kitchen; thank You for water; thank You for this victory.”

And thank You now, ABBA, for Friends to share this with. I pray it will encourage someone to pray instead when what we have done so often is tell ourselves how stupid we are. Thank You for loving us; thank You for working with us patiently. Thank You for who You are and who You are transforming us to be in JESUS name.

Enjoy the weekend!

By the way Shabbat reading this week is found: Genesis 23:1-25:18; I Kings 1:1-31; Matthew 8:19-22, 27:3-10; Luke 9:57-62  Click HERE to read.

Solving the World’s Ills

Sharing in the pain of a friend today, I came to this conclusion about the ills of the world, families and even churches:

What a mess! And you know what, all the world’s relationship breaches could be resolved if ALL the people would just continually practice Ephesians 4:32.
ABBA, is so SMART and we the people in our unrepentant states are too evil and stupid to listen to Him. And there you have it, my summary of the world’s plight!

In King James English:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Or Complete Jewish Bible; the command is the same:

32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you.

Woe be unto us if we continue the path of waiting for the other person to forgive first; if our hearts were right with GOD we would be in a race to see who could forgive first.

ABBA, please forgive me when I am stubborn and stiff-necked and mold me into a person who races to forgive.

Faint

My intentions for this post was a quick word from THE WORD to encourage us to NOT faint or be weary in this culture and season of our respective journeys. Some of us are newer in our journey than others; but weariness is no respecter of persons. :)

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

And as I keyed in faint at Bible Gateway dot-com more than the expected Galatians passage appeared.  And I wondered if  our word FAINT was the same for each passage; so I next visited Bible Study Tool dot-com  to use the Hebrew and Greek Lexicon which can be accessed at the tab Interlinear Bible.

And so my word to you from THE WORD today is lean in on ABBA today so you do not grow weary; so you do not faint and as you study THE WORD check out those Hebrew (Old Testament) and those Greek (New Testament) words. It will be enlightening!

So what does the FAINT in Galatians 6:9 mean? (It’s not the same faint as in Ephesians 3:13.)

Click HERE and see (for Galatians 6:9) it is akin to the marriage covenant. So let us keep  ‘covenant’ with the HOLY SPIRIT who seals us; let us make the decision to not step out on Him and give into our flesh of doubts and frustrations and fears and weariness of putting up with this mess; keep leaning on Him, keep believing Him, keep trusting Him and we will see His reward in due time.

Warning! This bites! When we as followers of JESUS, decide to go with our feelings, our flesh instead of staying in trust, walking in the SPIRIT, we have become unfaithful to our LORD in that decision. Praise HIM! Praise HIM! That He forgives and brings us back to the path of discipleship!

If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.

Well, Friends, it was not quick or short but I hope it is encouraging.  May ADONAI bless you and keep you and make His Face shine upon you. Numbers 6:24-27.

Thank You, ABBA.  Thank You.
Thank You for good reports for Bella! Thank You for Carolyn’s improved condition. Thank You for loving us; never leaving us, never forsaking us and always having great plans for us for safety, protection, well-being and when the time is right HOME with You. Thank You JESUS for saving us now and forever.

KEEPER of the WIND

It is a lovely Monday in lower Alabama. The temps are comfortable, the sun is bright and cheery; added to all that there’s a gentle breeze dancing a waltz with the trees just outside my window – makes a girl glad to be alive.

Earlier in this happy day, I took a ride – Cedar Cove style – on my bicycle :). That same wind that dances so pleasingly with the trees can make a woman’s ride home a real muscle worker. The Wind.  Is surely our Teacher if we dare to be taught.

Winds cannot always blow our way; headwinds are meant to build muscle – spiritual character. So when we encounter a wind opposite our chosen course, let us realize that wind has one of two purposes: to build us some spiritual muscle or to alert us that we need to change our direction. And the KEEPER of the WIND knows that purpose; let us not hesitate to ask Him.

The Winds of our Country have been blowing contrary to our roots, contrary to the Book upon which it was founded for not less than 5 decades now. But I do not want us to continue to be afraid or feel hopeless. There are wise, intelligent Americans with practical knowledge to lead us out of financial chaos; there are wise, intelligent Americans with skills and compassion to help us begin to alleviate our social sufferings; there are wise, intelligent Americans with a solid connection to the One and Only GOD who, I believe, is yet willing to help us and restore us again.

This is my question: Who is willing to surrender to daily prayer, individually and/or corporately, for the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD to reveal who these people are and to position them and labor through them to save America?  Two more question: Am I one of those people? Are you one of those people?

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If you are surrendered to this praying, tell someone – get yourself an accountability partner and pray often with her/him.

HOLY SPIRIT, I pray You will call and Your People will answer and millions of Christians will not fail to pray daily for You to save us.
