Come, Inherit!

As we pray this morning please pray for Alyssa. She is 10 years old and has a veinous malformation or webbed vein mass. It is more serious than I have the vocabulary to describe to you. Mid month, Alyssa and her family will be traveling to be seen by a renown physician who treats these conditions. Alyssa’s grandmother is a treasured friend; she and I are asking you to pray.

Having yesterday finished reading Steve Biggs’ book, Beyond A Reasonable Doubt, this verse of Scripture is particularly sweet to me this morning.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.

via Matthew 25 CJB;KJ21 – “The Kingdom of Heaven at that time – Bible Gateway.

How often do we allow the HOLY SPIRIT to remind us that from the beginning of time when GOD set to create a world that we could inhabit, HE was thinking of you (and me) and preparing for you (and me) a place and a means we could live with HIM forever?

Does not that warrant some meditating and praising today?

ABBA, thank You for being You; for the GOD of Wonder You are; for being unfathomable and yet in CHRIST JESUS not only being approachable but knowable, intimately knowable. Thank You. Thank You for planning for us from the beginning of time. Thank You for beginning and completing a world for us and entering that world to show us Yourself. Thank You.
And, ABBA, this morning we are thinking of Alyssa and her family – parents, grandparents, siblings, and the trauma of this season. I cannot get my mind around this even enough to form this prayer; only trust You to hold this family and heal this child. You know we have other cares too. Others to cast upon You and You have commanded us to do so; so we are. Kerri. A miracle is what I am asking for, ABBA. Terri. We praise You for the good report given yesterday. Thank You. But we are not done asking; so much more needed there with healing and restoration all around. The two mission trips: the people and their needs. Israel: peace and protection. America:Revival and repentance. And especially the people who gather in their respective places at this page, ABBA, special people to me and for them I ask blessings; for them to KNOW You well and intimately; for them to be highly favored with discernment and wisdom, with a deep understanding of Your Word and to be enabled to enlighten others; to be prayer warriors with me and to glorify You and make Your Name known in their corners of this world; to experience Your strength and provisions for every challenge and need they have; to be holy and happy in YESHUA today. And in all this, ABBA, thank You for loving us and being our GOD, our Creator, and our Coming King.

Think About It.

Hebrews 6: 6 Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

A couple observations this morning. I think. :)

Foundation of repentance.

Repentance. The foundation on which we build relationships. A Relationship with YESHUA. And relationships with one another.  In the words of Steve Brown: “You think about that.”

Dead works. What are dead works? Obviously there is no life in them. Else they would not be DEAD WORKS. That makes sense. So there is no Laying up of treasures in Heaven in dead works.

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

via Matthew 6 KJ21;CJB – “Take heed that ye do not your – Bible Gateway.

You know what comes before this verse in Matthew 6? The LORD’s Prayer – asking for HIS forgiveness. You know what comes next? A command to forgive others. And next? That works without forgiveness = dead works.  Dead works are NOT YESHUA’s will for us. Laying up treasure in Heaven is. And those treasures begin with FORGIVENESS. That’s the foundation.

Something to think about. Isn’t it?

ABBA, thank You for speaking with us today. Thank You for confirming Your Word with Your Word. And so I pray for forgiveness for each of us today. That we will seek Your forgiveness and that we will ask for forgiveness from others we have hurt with our words and our deeds. I pray we will see afresh the value You place on forgiveness; the necessity of it to build relationships and life.
I am still remembering Terri. Kerri. Dori. Two Mission Trips. Israel. America. Joy. Leslie. Ray. Family needs. Souls in need of forgiveness but so far will not ask in saving faith. Have Mercy, ABBA. Yet save them we pray. And for each One who gathers here with us today, I pray for strength and wisdom; for a firm foundation of repentance and many works that are well pleasing to You and worthy of treasure in Heaven in the Holy Name of JESUS we pray.

Establishing ?

You may have noticed foundation has been a theme of sorts for a few days with me. And this morning another thought was added.

Boundaries.

To properly build on the foundation JESUS has given, I must have boundaries. Life Way’s Journey magazine offered this pondering point for me and I’m passing it along to you if that’s alright.

“God has made boundaries clear to all of us–from the separation of night from day, to the Ten Commandments, to loving your neighbor as yourself.”

How much more could we accomplish, if we had clear and active boundaries? Boundaries to establish our days in joyful purpose and to give rest to our nights; boundaries to keep the Sabbath holy, boundaries to deter us from coveting; boundaries to protect us from harm in relationships.

Just some thoughts.

(A: ii) 14 God said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to divide the day from the night; let them be for signs, seasons, days and years;

via Genesis 1:13-15 CJB – So there was evening, and there was – Bible Gateway.

8 “Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God.

via Ex 20 CJB – Then God said all these words: א “I – Bible Gateway.

17) “Do not covet your neighbor’s house; do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

via Ex 20 CJB – Then God said all these words: א “I – Bible Gateway.

31 The second is this: ‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’

via Mark 12 CJB;KJV – Yeshua began speaking to them in – Bible Gateway.

Father, thank You for all the many sources offering Your Word for our edification and for building on THE FOUNDATION You have given. Thank You for these thoughts today. Boundaries. Boundaries to establish our days with joyful purpose and to bring sweet and peaceful rest even in our darkest nights. The holy boundaries You have spoken would do that, wouldn’t they? Thank You, Father. Thank You.
And so I pray for all of us gathering here that we will allow You to show us boundaries not yet active in our lives and I pray for strength and will to establish them. And, Father, I pray if there is a soul out there that does not frequently come to this page but would gain benefit from these words, I pray they will follow Your Lead and find themselves here. And as they do I pray they will be encouraged to draw the boundaries You direct.
And in the quiet of this moment, we are remembering Others to You. Terri and her family. Still a heavy need there, Father. Kerri. A heavy one there too. Dori. She is an encouragement to us all and yet a sister always needs strength.  And all those Dear Ones who sat to study Your Word with me on Sunday, HOLY SPIRIT, may they know Your manifest Presence today. And all my Friends here in this blogosphere, I pray for them, for their ministries, for their families; thank You for the encouragement they are to me and many others; increase their borders and prosper them in health and Spirit I pray in the Name of our Sweet Savior JESUS of Nazareth.

Tone

I have no explanation. It just does. This verse I mean. It settles soft and warm upon me (bold and underline emphasis mine).

11 They sang antiphonally, praising and giving “thanks to Adonai, for he is good, for his grace continues forever” toward Isra’el. All the people raised a great shout of praise to Adonai, because the foundation of the house of Adonai had been laid.

via Ezra 3:10-12 KJ21;CJB – And when the builders laid the – Bible Gateway.

And I continued to read. Job 38 and 39.

4 “Where were you when I founded the earth? Tell me, if you know so much.
5 Do you know who determined its dimensions or who stretched the measuring line across it?
6 On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone,
7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

via Job 38; 39 CJB;KJ21 – Then ADONAI answered Iyov out of the – Bible Gateway.

Do you recognize the passage? Job had been mouthing his case before Jehovah and ABBA responded. I, personally, recognize the tone. I shall spare you the details. Even so, as our initial verse promises GOD is forever good. And don’t you love the black and white clarity of Who it is that brought about this planet upon which we reside?

And one more. I just can’t leave this one out?

36 “Who put wisdom in people’s inner parts? Who gave understanding to the mind?

via Job 38; 39 CJB;KJ21 – Then ADONAI answered Iyov out of the – Bible Gateway.

A Blessed weekend, my Friends,

ABBA, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for wisdom; thank You for planting Your Wisdom within our inner parts. Thank You for bringing this planet to be; for setting boundaries and laws in place so we can learn to love You. Thank You that You are forever good and Your grace does not depart from us. Thank You.
Terri. Thank You for Your Hand of mercy and healing upon her. Thank You for the plans You have for her; You know each need; you know the cry of our hearts; we trust You. Mission trips scheduled, just days away. So many needs, ABBA. Safe passage to and from; Your anointing upon Your servants and the people to hear and believe; health; protection; favor; supplies; climate; housing; food; water; insects; unfriendly creatures; in total, ABBA, every detail perfected to bring glory to Yourself and people to JESUS that is my prayer.
And as other times, for each Reader to be encouraged as they visit here; to know Your Presence; to discern Your Will for them and with a willing and cheerful heart, obey. Ray. Thank You for allowing us to remember him as he grieves; again we pray for his heavy, heavy heart to heal. Stephanie. It’s a load and yet You are faithful. Thank You, ABBA. Leslie. Continuing to ask that You heal her. Dori. Kerri. Pam. Joy. Norman. Pat. Each we bring in like manner as the four brought their friend to You and we ask You to heal them. Thank You, LORD JESUS. Amen and amen.
