Beautiful, isn’t it?
Enjoy your Friday and your weekend.
What to do today? July 4.
America’s birthday, they say. I am thankful, and grateful to live here. I am grateful and give thanks today for every Real Follower of JESUS who lives here in this Country – the few, very few there may be.
There is opulence and luxury here but now in these winter years how rich is this Country, really? It doesn’t seem rich to me in what matters. In what matters She seems a pauper to me. Poor in all that is eternal. Pompous and arrogant, flaunting sin like it is good. Even CHURCHED people are raucous in sin and unbelief. So quick to be entertained and distracted and indulgent in the same attractions as the world (pagans if you please). And if not participating, applauding or at the least closing eyes and mouths.
Freedom!
A people FREE TO SIN.
Where is the freedom FROM sin?
That Freedom attained only by the BLOOD of The LORD YESHUA (JESUS the CHRIST) BOUGHT for us with His SINLESS Life, HIS Death, and HIS RESURRECTION!
Where’s the allegiance to that Freedom? Where are the fireworks to celebrate the freedom to overcome sin, shame, selfishness, and idolatry? Who is celebrating this FREEDOM today? I know some of you are and for you, I am celebrating!
AND I’m not raining on cook-outs with family and friends, or giving thanks for the voluminous opportunities afforded to every person walking the sod we call America. I’m not begrudging happy faces and full tummies. Like I began this piece, I am grateful to have been born here, to live here, but these days I wonder if the blessings of America have become Her Curse.
Freedom!
It’s vital.
It’s waning.

Shalom, Kathie One rotten potato will stink up the whole bag of potatoes; more than the whole bag the stench escapes the bag and when you get close you can smell it!
Phew!!
And if you leave that rotten potato in close contact with the other potatoes they will all go bad too.
Y’all know that right?
Now think people.
So the bag is a group, a congregation if you please.
The potatoes are – you guessed it, People.
And if that rottenness is not removed — well, you know what happens.
If, however, you catch the spoilage early enough you can do ‘surgery’, cut off the bad part, and the remainder of the potato can still be used. It will still be nourishment to those who need it.
The one above, I did not catch it soon enough — no sparing that one, and all the others around it had to have a thorough washing before they were worthy to feed.
Got the picture?
It’s not a perfect picture but useful, I think.
Is Scripture coming to mind?
Yeah, mine too!
Love, Kathie
