Soup!

Day 16

Soup!
As I sit to write this evening, I am giving thanks for the soup we had today – lunch and dinner.
I found the recipe on Instagram if you are interested.

Tuscan White Bean Soup.

I had to tweak it a bit as I was out of heavy cream (I melted butter and combined it with milk), and gently poured the combo into the soup at the appropriate time. It worked well enough.

You may follow this LINK for the recipe and find many others at The Recipe Rebel
I didn’t ask but I am confident, Ashley will not mind if you stop by her food blog. :)

That’s all.
I get to go to the office tomorrow — I’m a little short on words tonight at 6:52.  :)

Let’s Have Cake!

Day 15

November Birthdays
I am thankful for November birthdays img_0480-1and the people in my life who have them.
A grandson. A daughter. A Brother. A granddaughter by love and marriage. A niece. A nephew. A Sister in love who is with JESUS now.
November is special, don’t you think?

And then there is Thanksgiving!
Some of us list things all month for which to be thankful. :)
I hope my listing (15 days now) is pleasant reading for you all.

A verse of Scripture for today:

Deuteronomy 7: Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments;  source

Let this be sweeter than cake to you today that Your GOD Is GOD, the One and Only GOD, the one and only faithful GOD, the one and only GOD who keeps His covenants, keeps His promises to generation after generation of THOSE who love Him and keep His commandments.

Day 14.

What can we give thanks for today?
For me, tasks completed, jobs well done, and loving people to help. img_0461
Let me encourage you to tackle some of those tasks that you have been telling yourself you need to do but not today.
No time like the present.  :)

Origin of No Time Like the Present
This idiom is a proverb that was first written in the year 1562. The idea behind it is that if you wait too long to do something, you may never get to do it. Something may come up that prevents you from doing or saying what you wish you had said.  source

Proverbs 6: Don’t put it off; do it now!
Don’t rest until you do.  source

It’s way out of context but it’s on point for this post, don’t you think?
