Reckon?

As I sit to write, it is August 19, 2025.
Today, Facebook brought back a four-year-old memory.

Today, a devotional reading told me GOD’s command to me is to Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

Now you will not read this little piece of writing until tomorrow or even some uncertain day to come — will the message be the same?  Will GOD still mean what He said 2,000 years ago – Matthew 28? I reckon He will!!

16 Meanwhile, the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain Jesus had designated. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him, but some doubted.18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  source

So, now I am wondering, you who are reading this right now – yes, you.  Has anyone ever told you about JESUS, or if you prefer, YESHUA?
Do you know His Story?
If not, do you want to know His Story?
I’m just wondering how many people in the world have not heard that JESUS is,  just how many people do not know HE is the Savior? And just how many people actually care to know.
Do you wonder that too?

Let me ask again,  have you heard that JESUS is The CHRIST – The Savior and that He is willing to save YOU?
One other question — do you reckon you need to be saved?

Actually, I am more than wondering; I am willing to tell you what I know about JESUS if you are hungry to hear.
A song I heard on Sunday, in part, gave these words: Come home, come home
You who are weary, come home
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling
Calling, O sinner, come home…
You who are weary — and I thought maybe that’s why the altar is so bare, people are not yet weary of the burden of their sin.

It is my earnest prayer that people become weary of their sins — because this I know, when they get weary, JESUS is ready to lift, cleanse, and save!

Reckon

I reckon that’s all for now —

Embrace Her

It’s been about 3 days, and I am still thinking about it.

Matthew 1: 20 and 24 -25
20 But after he had pondered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to embrace Mary as your wife, for the One conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
24 When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and embraced Mary as his wife. 25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus.

Joseph’s counsel from The Heavenly Father was to embrace Mary as his wife.  Embrace.
I had to pay attention. And the more I leaned in, the more precious this became.
The Father’s intent to me was this: Joseph, Mary needs you. Don’t miss this, Son. Don’t reject her;  Embrace her.  Don’t put her away privately (as noble as that seems to your natural mind). Lend your strength to her, the strength I will give you. Comfort her. Believe her. Stand with her. Be her covering, her protector. I will be with you. I will help you. I have chosen her. I have chosen you. Embrace her. Embrace Me and My will for you.

As I said, that’s what embracing her means to me.  It’s pretty precious, I think. I hope you think so too, and I hope it helps us all realize a bit more that our Heavenly Father is LOVE, and compassion — way more than we yet know.

Speaking a Blessing over you today, Kathie

Musing

My thoughts are saturated. The heaviness of it is uncomfortable. A dark shroud pressing down, close by and far away, across the street and from State to State.

We are deceived.

The enemy smirks, leaps with perverted glee, and we do not see.
But I do see.
What do I do with this candlelight of knowledge?
Put it under a bushel? Blow it out?

The prince and power of the air-he reigns. He owns the place, illegally now, but is still in possession. Held in his grip and sway – all the victims blind and deceived.

Hours and hours, days, months, and years – generation upon generation watches the screens. Screens with images he has prescribed and contrived to while away the time and paralyse the mind.
And he does.
The masses are convinced – no fault, no foul – it’s innocent, we are just amusing ourselves, children and adults alike.
Not so! Not so at all!
And then comes to mind, and now the lips ‘for every idle word we shall give an account’.  Matthew 12:36
Is it not fitting to believe this includes all that we see to watch?

Idle hands (and numbed minds) are indeed the devil at work.

Musing: Deep in thought; contemplative.
Amusing: diverting

Father, it’s written now. I’d be honored if it is worthy of use to You, not to defeat and depress People, but to open hearts and minds to consider You, and that you are so very worthy of our time and devotion.
