A New Story

I saw this on Facebook today. 

And while I formulated a response on Facebook I decided to post it here instead. 

To us in our world who want no judging of one another, we are erring badly. 
You see ALL misery, sorrows, the whole gamut of pain in this world is due to SIN; either ours or someone else’s OR a combination of both – being that we sin in response to their sin – often that is due to a refusal to forgive and trust GOD to defend us and help us. 

So, here’s my first thought.  Likely I will follow with some more. 

I get the warm fuzzies of this sentiment but it does not liberate the one with the story. It gives excuses but not hope for a better story; for a story with victory over hurts and sorrows and pains. GOD has already done the judging – He has judged ALL sin for whatever reason committed, and our only hope for victory is to help one another COME OUT of our sins and live a NEW STORY. As I said I get the sentiment. I get that we all want warm fuzzies, we all want acceptance, but it’s not sentiment that heals, It’s repentance, forgiveness, and obedience in love.

I have heard it over and over: you can’t judge me. 
You are right I can’t but I am obligated by LOVE when prompted by HOLY SPIRIT to offer you victory over your sins.
And quite frankly if you are my brother and sister in CHRIST JESUS, you owe it to me when you see me practicing sin to come to me and offer me hope and help to forsake that sin. 

That’s the way I see it. 

We have the RIGHT to do right in this WRONG world,

Ricochet

Admittedly this post is intended as ricochet ministry. Described by a beloved Pastor (my paraphrase) as bouncing the message off my regular Readers (who highly likely have already embraced it and will) hopefully rebound it to others who might benefit. 

The picture is copied from a public domain and is pictured here as the springboard for this essay. This picture does not tell the whole story though. Does it?

It does tell me the targeted man is only valued, and the wife deems herself only loved, when the husband conforms to all the wishes and dictates of the wife. It tells me the wife sees herself predominately as One to be served rather than a partner in service. This is heartbreaking for both of them.
The pictured message is the opposite of the Spirit of Scripture. It is a 180 in the wrong direction from the principles that make for a healthy, happy marriage.  Biblical Principles when applied and treasured by BOTH will bring Life to life. 

Marriages are BUILT, not by one, not by two but by Three – GOD and the two. This building happens when the two individually love GOD FIRST and Secondly, love their mate more than they love their own needs, ways and comforts.  

Scripture does not give the option – I will if he will – someone has to start and the one who starts and does not give up reaps a harvest of plenty. 

Such is rare in our world because marriages today are contracts made to be broken instead of covenants entered for keeping in JESUS name. 

I know whereof I speak  – I’ve had both! The contract for breaking and the Covenant for keeping and that means SOMETHING!

Not Covid Again

It seems logical and reasonable to me that Covid 19 was a test for the American People.
And I say we failed.
We failed to think and live in Liberty.
We failed to ask GOD if the Medical Experts paraded across our television screens could have ulterior motives.
We failed to walk in faith. Instead, we walked in fear and that walk got us here.

We are taking another test as I key in these words to this digital screen.
Will we again believe the media?
Will we just believe and accept the Media’s brainwashing?
The lie that says Joe Biden is the winner.
The evidence is mounting that thousands upon hundreds of thousands of votes were not cast by eligible voters. When only the legal votes are counted I believe we will see that Donald J. Trump won this election by a landslide.

So, what can you and I do? I’m not part of the investigation. Are you? No.
Here’s what we can do.
We can pray.
We can refuse to believe the media.
We can speak out that we do not believe the media.
And we can refuse to give up hope that truth and justice will yet prevail.

And we can pray. Lots and Lots of praying.
Not because it takes a lot of praying to get GOD to do what we want.
No, it takes a lot of praying to get us ready and willing and able to do what we CAN while HE does what only HE can do.
Our prayers are not to change GOD, but to change us. And believe me, We the People NEED changing. 
Because if we don’t change we will believe the lie, roll over and die.

Let’s don’t do Covid again.

Donald J. Trump is still America’s President.
And if America wants to stay America, Donald J. Trump MUST remain President.
