End All Of

Number 3 is Thefts.

13 Things

Immediately, I am thinking thefts could be endless. O! the things we can steal! And I am thinking of the initial, main thief; the one who steals from us and encourages us to steal from one another.

John 10:10  (AMP)10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. source

Like what? What thefts?
Well, our courts are brimming with cases of stolen goods and services. Thefts are perpetrated by blue-collar, white-collar, and no-collar.

Is this what JESUS is talking about in Mark 7 Thefts of property? Thefts of material goods and services? I think so, but that’s not all, is it?

What is the end of all thefts to you? The most heinous that comes to mind? There are many, aren’t there?

Consider this one with me.
Opportunity!
The theft of opportunity.
We could make endless lists, couldn’t we of opportunities we have stolen from ourselves and those others have ripped from us?
And we could be angry and bitter — and that would rob us even more — of more opportunities!

And then there is the opportunity to introduce another to JESUS.
No other missed opportunity bears eternal consequences; only this one.

It’s something to think about, isn’t it?

Have a Nice Day

If Sunday had not followed Friday it would indeed have been the darkest of days!

But Sunday came!
Resurrection Sunday!
He’s Alive, He’s Alive Sunday!

The question to answer.

Matthew 5:13-16

Sparrows

I live in this place, in this time, in this Country for such a time as this. That’s what I got from the Text. Esther 4:14 for such a time as this.

Go on do what you do without fear the media says. Without the fear part I know is true. We are not built, wired, born, created – pick your word – to live in fear. Fear is crippling, paralyzing, tormenting, life-robbing – again pick your word.

Fear strikes and grips the soul. Hope moves a soul on from fear. Trust moves a soul on from fear. But from whom or what do we gather this hope? In whom or what do we place our trust? [Trust is a sacred thing – be careful where and in whom you place it.]

Is there hope for our safety in the capabilities of the US Government? The FBI? Homeland Security? I am grateful for the work they do. I am grateful for their Presence; for their expertise; but that is not enough hope to assuage my fear.

Trust? For sure. For sure trust in this same composite of fallible humans does not send fear from me. I must go higher. I must find someone infallible to trust to quiet my fear.

And you? What quiets your fear in the wake of the Paris slaughter, ISIS, thousands of refugees for sure containing ISIS terrorists coming to our towns, our cities, our restaurants, our houses of entertainment?

Do we stay home? Hunkered down? Is there enough firepower in our four walls to keep us safe? Gripping, isn’t it? Paralyzing. Isn’t it?

As I see it we have two response choices. One, defiance. Defiance that says I will not stand for this! I will not live in fear. I will carry on my life. I will continue as I have done before; I will go to work (or not as retirement may be), eat and sleep, go to the movies, shop, the same as always. Wonder how long same as always will hold it together for us?

Or two. Two, we can acknowledge and give thanks for the FBI, Homeland Security, all the Entities in place and then look above them to the One Infallible One. The One Who does not miss a detail. The One Who does not miss a sparrow that falls. [Matthew 10:29] And sparrows do fall! That does not mean He does not care. It means the curse of evil is still in place in this place – for now. It means we are called to work with GOD not against Him. Defiance will move us along but not in the safest direction.

So if not defiance, what? Surrender? Surrender to evil? NEVER. NEVER. NEVER!

Rather, surrender to the Lordship of the Infallible One. Does that mean sparrows will cease to fall? No. Not yet.

Surrender to dependence?

Yes. But not just any dependence. Not the dependence that just gives up and says there’s nothing I can do. I’ll just sit here and eat a worm. No!

Here’s truth: The more dependent a soul or a nation becomes on THE INFALLIBLE ONE the more independent that soul, that nation is.

Who is America dependent upon?
Read. Listen. Ask around. Seek the answer.

But more than that. Read. Listen. Ask until you can answer Who am I dependent upon?

The FBI? Homeland Security? Washington? The US Federal Government?

Or The Infallible One?

How’s your fear level now? Got questions? Email me and we’ll talk. I don’t have all the answers. But I have a few that will help. :)

Or More

I’m considering people today.  They are amazing, you know.

Just think about someone you know; a family member perhaps. What they like; what they don’t; what they are good at; what just turns their stomach. Like, some just adore babies, anybody’s baby; just get a baby within sight and they are drawn to that little one like a magnet to a skillet. Or perhaps not. Perhaps another says I wouldn’t take a million dollars for any one of my children but I wouldn’t give you a nickel for another one. Seriously. It’s been said.

People are amazing! So individual. So different. The Great Designer laid out a pattern to join cells, organs, circulatory systems, bones, muscles, tissue, DNA; following the same pattern for each and every unique human specimen – no two exactly alike; unless you consider this: each and every model must have oxygen, water, food and love or it will die.

So when I consider people, their likes, their dislikes, their habits, everything that makes them who they are – so different from me. They need just what I need: oxygen, water, food, (oh yeah, clothes and a place to live are pretty much a necessity too) and love.  And the greatest of these is love.

So here’s what I’m thinking.
Oxygen. Perhaps I will not be called upon often to share my supply with another but could I not somehow offer a prayer or more for One laboring to breathe?
Water. Such a precious thing. Those of us with an abundant supply could be moved to help those lacking this vital necessity. Perhaps we could start with thanksgiving as we turn on the faucet and that clean, clear, life-sustaining supply wets our toothbrushes. Perhaps our thanks will inspire us to pray (or more) for water for those so thirsty.
Food. Oh my goodness. How do I even broach this? Could I open my frig and my pantry and give thanks? Could I contribute to a food pantry?
Love. God is love the Bible says. Do I have love? Do I dwell in love?

15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food, 16 and someone says to him, “Shalom! Keep warm and eat hearty!” without giving him what he needs, what good does it do? via James 2 KJV;CJB – My brethren, have not the faith of our – Bible Gateway.
17 If someone has worldly possessions and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how can he be loving God? 18 Children, let us love not with words and talk, but with actions and in reality! via 1 John 3 KJV;CJB – Behold, what manner of love the Father – Bible Gateway.

I have to tell you my Friends, I stepped into this one; and with His help and His grace I am ready for Him to enable me to walk in it.

Thank you for listening.

Day 240 of 2014, a day to give Thanks.

Kathie

ABBA, I had no idea when we began this that we were going here but now that we are here, I pray for Your grace, conviction, direction, discernment, wisdom, resources, determination and most of all Your love to walk it out for Your glory.  Hold my feet to the fire I pray in YESHUA’s holy name.
