For Good. For Sure.

I said this verse aloud many times yesterday particularly at yesterday’s doings related to Chick-fil-A.

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day, to save many people alive.

via Genesis 50:19-21 KJ21 – And Joseph said unto them, “Fear – Bible Gateway.

However, all my quoting was only part of the verse: what they mean for evil, God means for good.

And it is true. Proven out yesterday by the overwhelming amount of chicken sold! It was not about chicken. It’s about freedom.  And even those who have not said yes to JESUS yet understood that. Today, however, I am looking to the rest of that verse: to save many people alive.

Let us not forget that when ABBA turns the evil of the LEFT to good for the RIGHT, yes we enjoy that; yes, we want that; but, the greater purpose is to save many people alive. Let us not get in the way of that!

Tomorrow is purportedly set to be a day of protest. It is more than distasteful to me but I urge you if you happen to encounter a protester, please do NOT give them any additional reasons to ‘glory in their sin’.  Treat them with kindness, by no means condone their sin but in no way judge them beyond the realm of GOD to be saved. Do not damn them to hell before the time by any of your words or gestures.  For sure. For sure I am speaking most sternly to myself here. I am praying to be a shining example of the love and righteousness of JESUS CHRIST.  For you see the sin of homosexuality is offensive to me. It is offensive to me because it is offensive to my ABBA. I am compelled by Him to hate what He hates and love what He loves. He hates sin. He loves people.  And it is HE alone that can teach you and me to do as He does. I am urging us to allow Him to do this in us.

Let us cease to expect any of the peoples of this world to understand the Law and Love of GOD. (I Cor. 2:14) The reality of the Love and Law of GOD (they want the Love but not the Law) is foreign to any unregenerate mind. They cannot comprehend it and they never will unless CHRIST in us lights the way for them.  And we will NEVER light the way for them by condoning their sin or damning them in the here and now.

Now I confess to you, I don’t have a clue in this moment how to walk this out in the world out there. Here at my dining table it is easy to write what we must do. Out there where our feet hit the pavement is a different world. But our GOD is able. Let us decide here and now where it is safe that we will exalt and honor our Savior with our words and our deeds out there where the Evil One is seeking whom he may devour.

Let it not be us!!

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye not be consumed one by another.

16 This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

ABBA, I so need help practicing Seeking You First and as I do I am certain in the moment You will give me words and deeds that will honor You and help our enemies find the road to repentance and salvation.  I pray for myself and for every dear one that comes here to read and to pray that You, HOLY SPIRIT, will encourage us and motivate us to seek You first today, all day.  LORD JESUS, and now we bring our sick and afflicted to You and we ask You to heal them. And we are not forgetting those who by their own testimony are rebellious and oblivious to You; thank You for not giving up on them and we pray they will yet be saved and rescued. And Israel. What a glorious future You have for them. Thank You. I look forward to see that day for them. And America. You love us so much. Thank You. Help us repent. HOLY SPIRIT, please raise up holy Statesmen and Heroes to lead the way.  Thank You, ABBA.

Chicken

Today is support Chick-fil-A day.  It has been my prayer this morning that all 1600 stores will have a most successful day; that the Army of the LORD will show up in numbers and enjoy lots of chicken today. May the Body of CHRIST be bold in love and truth. May the Body of CHRIST be not ‘chicken’ today to reflect the LIGHT.

For sure. For sure it is DARKNESS that took, added to, and twisted the words of Dan Cathy for the purpose of calling attention to the deeds of reprobate minds. And in case you missed my post FYI click  HERE to read it now.

You may recall our prayers on the 30th for Richard and Jeri.  Richard’s surgery was a success! We are expecting a complete recovery and to our GREAT GOD will give glory and praise and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff for being instruments in His hands of healing.

ABBA, thank You, thank You for Richard’s healing and for the skill and care of medicine. Another is having surgery today too and we ask for textbook perfect results today as well. And today  I pray that not one child who You have re-birthed will be cowardice or arrogant as we support this family business that has named Your Name. LORD JESUS, even as the unregenerate mind did not understand You when You cleansed the Temple, today they still do not understand and they continue to reject You. Thank You for continuing to love them anyway and thank You for continuing to hate the sin. I pray that blinded eyes will be opened and Your Gospel will dawn upon those groping in darkness. We continue to bring our sick and afflicted, our rebellious and oblivious to You for healing and rescue. I continue, ABBA, to pray for Your beloved Israel, asking for Your Peace to be upon them and for You to subdue their every enemy and, DADDY GOD, for America I pray You will be merciful; raise up Statesmen and Heroes of Your Gospel and save this Nation I pray.  Thank You, ABBA.

It’s a stump, y’all!

No roots. Has had no roots for almost 6 months and green sprouts keep coming, but they don’t last. What am I getting at here? This: The LIFE OF GOD is only in people ROOTED in CHRIST JESUS. And His counsel to us is Don’t be fooled, Little Flock.

Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of My Father who is in Heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that Day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and in Thy name have cast out devils, and in Thy name done many wonderful works?’

23 And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.’

In these days of hypocrisy run a muck we must be alert, discerning and bold to speak the truth in love.  I cannot too strongly urge you to diligently pray over your families particularly in regards to the people, doctrines, organizations and movements they take to their bosoms. Let us be reminded the Evil One parades himself as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11;13-15) and we must come against him with effectual, fervent prayer.

ABBA, I ask You to minister Your Word as You will in JESUS name.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

That’s it.

That’s the first verse of the morning. It came to me early, even before opening my Bible. It came as I was already recounting something in my mind that I don’t have.  It came as a promise, but it also came as correction to me and I am grateful. Grateful for His tender watch-care over His little girl who He loves. And since I am writing this here, He is saying it to someone out there too.  :)

All these things shall be added to you. 

What things?

Well, what does ALL include?

Peace of mind? For sure.
Food, clothing, shelter, transportation? Without a doubt.
A balanced budget? Yep! that too.
Wisdom to deal with the hard stuff? Absolutely!
A way out of that temptation? You got it!
How about real practical stuff – like that sink of dishes; that pile of laundry; that required reading; that required writing; painting that wall; picking up that pile of rubbish; decluttering that corner . . .

What else?

What does ALL include? :)

But for the ALL we must do the FIRST.  And HE even helps us with the FIRST!  We must only choose.

ABBA, in this moment we are choosing; and we ask for the want to to choose You again in the next moment too. Thank You, JESUS, for Your Righteousness – You have made this offer and You have paid the price for it. Thank You.
And I am remembering Richard this morning – his surgery, so serious, ABBA, it has been a long haul for him and for Jeri and I pray today’s surgery will be the remedy to restore him; I ask You for a text-book perfect surgery and recovery for him and for peace for Jeri and holy company as she waits. All our others who are sick and afflicted we bring as friends bring friends to You for healing and as a father waits for his prodigal to come home we wait for our rebellious and even oblivious Ones to return. Israel, I pray for Your Peace for them and for the subduing of all Her enemies.  America. Please save us, ABBA. Please help us more forward by returning to You FIRST.
