Back to Work!

Officially our play days are all but gone!  My beloved gets to go back to the office in the morning. I will miss having him around here underfoot :) It’s been good to relax and lay much of my routines aside for a spell, but tomorrow it’s back to business.

On Sunday my Pastor (Roy Hill) gave a superb sermon. I’d like to share his five major points:

Five Resolutions every Christian should make:

1. Do the things I told Christ I would do on the day He saved me.
2. Love Christ more. And here’s how: Love Him FIRST. Love Him MOST. Love Him DAILY. And there’s more. To do this means DAILY I will spend time in the WORD. DAILY I will seize time for talking to Him. DAILY I will invest time LISTENING to Him.
3. Share my faith. Look at every person I see as someone Jesus died for and when the HOLY SPIRIT prompts and opens the door, TELL THEM JESUS died for them.
4. Be the family member God wants me to be. For me, that’s being a godly wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or cousin.
5. Be the church member God wants me to be. That means show up and let JESUS show out in me.

And here at the close of day 2, I could have practiced these better BUT tomorrow His mercies are fresh and new and practice makes perfect!! :)

Lamentations 3: 21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope:
22 It is through the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.
24 “The LORD is my portion,” saith my soul, “Therefore will I hope in Him.”
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

2012

Greetings 2012!
You will only bring to me what my ABBA has purposed. Surprises surely await me but He is already there and we (those of us in CHRIST JESUS) are safe.

ABBA, thank You for the victories of 2011; thank You for my defeats that You turned to victories. Thank You for each dear and beloved IDOK. Thank You that their futures are safe even before we know them. Thank You, JESUS, for who You are and who You are making us to be. We welcome this new year because You are walking it with us. Thank You for family, friends, love, faith, joy, peace and forgiveness; let us not leave any one of them behind but bring each forward, daily. May all our merrymaking be done in holiness. And, ABBA, I pray for mercy and grace and space to repent for those whose merrymaking even now is far from You. Thank You that all my such New Years past are forgiven and under the Blood of CHRIST JESUS my LORD. HOLY SPIRIT, I invite You to get all up in ‘my’ business for 2012 and make it our best year yet; and not just for me but for every willing soul who comes here to read and pray. Amen and amen in the Lovely, Mighty and Holy Name of JESUS, the LORD’s CHRIST.

First December Wednesday of 2011

Good Wednesday morning. It’s a cool one here in lower Alabama. Cool and damp. But in the arms of our GOD is love and warmth, comfort and resources to meet our every need.

And since it is Wednesday it is pray for you by name (or email address) day.  Your prayers for me and mine would not be wasted. :)

Deuteronomy 7:8-10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 but because the LORD loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the LORD brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
10 but repays those who hate Him to their faces, to destroy them; He will not delay with him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face.

Amen and amen, ABBA, I pray each who comes to this page and whose names I now call before You will find themselves on the pages of Your Word. I pray they will know that they know that they know You are faithful to them, that You are kind and just in all Your ways, both those things You allow and those things You do. That You will never forsake Your own. Help us to fret not, ABBA, but trust You; to live in Your peace and joy even in adverse and painful seasons. Amen and amen.
