Inspiration or Not

I wish I had something witty and fun and helpful to place on this page. It takes inspiration for me to write and today I’m not so inspired. I know why. It is only in this moment that I have quieted myself enough to sit, let alone write. We’ve been putting the foyer back together since JT laid the new floor. img_6184He still has shoe molding to paint and put down but we have freshly painted walls and our Children and Grands’ pictures are back in new places so all is well with me!  img_6185

All around our world, meaning our kids and their necks of the woods too, we range from 42 degrees to the coldest spot of 23 degrees; some of us have snow, Snow Babiessome rain, some clouds; but we’ve all got love. How heavenly is that?!

I have a Sunday School lesson to prep for and a women’s conference tomorrow to attend, one of those last-minute invites that seems too good to say no to, with a dear friend. JT said not to worry, he’d find something to do. :)

So guess I better get to the books so I can share the WORD with dear friends on Sunday and supper time cooking is not far away today.

Well, not much inspiration here but I did get to say hello and that means a lot to me. :)

Victory

What do you think GOD wants to do for you?
Today

The word victory came to mind.

He wants to give me victory. Victory over the sins that so easily beset me. (Hebrews 12:1) Victory over the enemy of my soul. (Psalm 13:2) Victory over my bad habits. The habits that I go back to time and time again and time and time again afterward I have such remorse. What I need is repentance. (Acts 11:18) He wants to give me that too. And today, in this moment, I think I’ll take Him up on it! :)

I am thinking ABBA wants to give me a healthy respect for myself. And for that to occur I will have to humble myself, repent of my self-criticism and with grace and gratitude receive His evaluation of me. 

Anybody else out there think that might be something GOD wants to do for you too?

So what is His appraisal of us?  ¹There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [source]

So where do I get off condemning me? I know where I get off – off in the FLESH that’s where. Not good, my Friends. Not good.

The Golden Rule. 12 “Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. That is the meaning of Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets. [source] We are all familiar with it, we practice it – on others. What about ourselves? What if we spoke to ourselves, about ourselves, as we speak to others we love? What if we spoke the truth in love to others, yes, but to ourselves as well? What would this gift of a healthy respect for ourselves do for the Kingdom of our GOD? Day by day we can find out – if we practice.

I think He wants to answer my prayers. Really! He wants to answer our prayers! Believe it!  23 “When that day comes, you won’t ask anything of me! Yes, indeed! I tell you that whatever you ask from the Father, he will give you in my name. 24 Till now you haven’t asked for anything in my name. Keep asking, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. [source]

I think He is eager, like leaning over the sphere of Heaven, there on His Throne ready to give good things to me.  . . . Yet because you relied on Adonai, he handed them over to you. 9 For the eyes of Adonai move here and there throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those who are wholehearted toward him. . . . [source] See what I mean? He is Ready, Willing and Able to do good things for and to and through me!  But not just me, YOU too.
