Silent Majority

I read a blog post recently; it was a timely and well written essay and when I reached the end the comment section was closed. What an excellent idea!

Obviously I am not the only one over done with this transgender bathroom, all things related to the LGBT movement. I have a plan; at least for me. From my window, I have a clear view of nature and from eon it has been the same: Male and female created He them (Genesis 1:27). So that tells me every human with a sexual identity/behavior conflict/issue is either in the throes of arguing with GOD or they have already told Him HE is WRONG. Anybody besides me know how brain-dead that is?!

So debate participation is over for me. That last picture I saw on Facebook was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Y’all better be glad I’m not GOD.  With His power, I would have already opened up hell and dropped us all in; the depravity of humanity has sunk even lower than I could have imagined. All I can say is GOD is gracious, awesome and all together worthy of our love, adoration and obedience; certainly not what is going on every day on this planet!

To debate, argue, rehash, read, view or in any manner give any more cerebral rental space to this media frenzy is ludicrous. Beyond this piece, for me I am shutting the discussion down, either verbal or written; leaving open, room only for honest searching-for-GOD souls hoping for a way out of sin’s penalty. Those I would gladly pray with, honor and labor with for truth and freedom. The grandstanding, loud, boisterous, in my face, screaming/demanding that I call evil, good – nope! I’m done. I will no longer validate such fruitless activity with my time and attention.

There is no worthiness in this media circus as it has thus far been presented. The right and wrong of sexuality is irrefutable not only by Scripture but by the biological makeup of we and this sphere on which we reside. To allow ourselves to get worked up into heated debates, brawls and endless Facebook discussion threads gives undeserved credibility to this movement as well as diverting our attention from the real culprit (Ephesians  6:12) and from matters about which we could actually do some good.

So. Am I advocating legislative surrender and caving in to political correctness? Not no, but HEAVEN’S NO! I’m envisioning some holy stealth operations to dismantle this unholy political machine. Have we not heard; have we not read; do we not believe that GOD resists the proud but He gives grace to the humble? (James 4:6) I’m bowing out now; silent to the masses related to this matter, but a whole lot of vocal coming with the ONE Who listens with Grace. Perhaps the Silent Majority should remain silent to the subject masses and become exceedingly vocal on their behalf to the Heavenly Father.

Rotten Boards

It’s an empty space; three boards are missing. JT noticed a little give a few days ago as he stepped on the deck on his way to Sara’s yard. She will often insist for a milk bone. But I digress. img_7292-1And so with some muscle, some resistance, some screw heads stripped and some work with a power saw, we have a gaping hole. See.

I stared at the hole and I thought: well, life happens! Deck boards wear out for everyone. And DADDY GOD doesn’t always intervene to stop the natural decaying process in deck boards and other matters of this pretty world. But you know, I smiled looking at that empty space that must be filled. Yeah. I really did. A gaping hole in a not that old deck brought a vivid sweet truth to mind. Actually it was the truth that brought the smile. The truth that GOD is always on Hand to give His Hand in helps with every rotten board, every disappointment, every dark, musky, putrid thing that comes along; He is right there. No. He does not as often as I like stop natural decay but He always has a solution. He always gives strength to pull out those rotten boards and fill the space with a new, fresh and stable walking path for each of His children who will ask.

Dear friends, if our hearts know nothing against us, we have
confidence in approaching God;22 then, whatever we ask for, we
receive from him; because we are obeying his commands and doing
the things that please him. [source] I John 3.

Abundance Seekers

“As you sit quietly in My Presence, remember that I am a God of abundance.”

Jesus Calling. Sarah Young ISBN978-1-59145-188-4 Thomas Nelson
Publisher. Nashville, TN. pg. 144.

God of abundance.

The Western World, particularly America, consistently seeks abundance. More. More. More. The consensus often is what we have is not enough. Marketing ads on every media source confirms, entices just one more, this one more thing will satisfy.  It doesn’t for hardly a moment.

Abundance. Abundance we have, don’t you think? No other generation in American History has had so much abundance; of things, of stuff, of resources, of technology, and I dare say discontentment and much more as equally unsatisfying.

19 And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (AMP)

Liberally supply. That’s abundance with a capital A. I do see a qualifier though: need. What are my needs? What will I die without? Air, water, food, and shelter from the elements. Do I have that? Liberally!

Shall I tell you what caught my attention after God of abundance? Of course I shall! 🙂
As you sit quietly in My Presence.

So that’s the reason media ads are so successful! We consistently hungrily sit open-mouthed with extended hands collecting our wants as we consistently refuse to take our needy souls and sit quietly before the ONE who liberally gives, liberally supplies our every need!

Wow! I think I’m done.

It was spur of the moment; just a Sunday afternoon stroll. Want to come along for a moment? 🙂

It was lovely on the boardwalk. Can you tell?  It’s long. It’s winding. It’s eye captivating. And then . . . img_7243

Do you see it? I know. It’s hardly noticeable! Just a little bump on the path. No I didn’t fall headlong but I sure did stumble. 🙂

My point?

15 Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life — live wisely, not unwisely. 16 Use your time well, for these are evil days. 17 So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. [source]

Kneading Dough

Kneading bread dough. Takes muscle action and if your muscles are not accustom you get tired before you are finished. And then it happened. Scripture came to mind. May I share it with you? Thank you for saying yes. 🙂

Honestly only part of the verse came to mind: who for the joy that was set before him [source]. Not to worry, we will get to the rest; it’s too good to ignore. 🙂

Where I am going with this is a stretch I easily admit and obviously not the average interpretation but . . .

Okay. Come get on this thought train with me.
Kneading dough. A little work-out here. Arms, hold that tummy and even get that core working. Wonder if Baby Girl GRAND would want to learn to bake bread this summer. Hmm. This takes a while. Sure hope this comes together. Keep pressing through. Who for the joy that was set before him.
Life lesson: looking to the reward is reason to press through and finish what we start. That is what JESUS did.

The Bread of Life pushed through agony and death to give us eternal life, redemption, salvation, forgiveness and His forever best company in the universe forever at His House!! And in the meantime, I really don’t think He would mind if we followed His example [of pressing through for the biggest thing in eternal life] for our little things in life. Whatever those little things are like kneading dough, cleaning out the closet, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden; taking out the trash . .  . sure hope I have some young readers here 🙂

That’s it. That’s my lesson through bread kneading. So even if it does not rise and it does not taste worth eating, it wasn’t without reward. 🙂

looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting, Yeshua — who, in exchange for obtaining the joy set before him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yes, think about him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that you won’t grow tired or become despondent. [SOURCE]

Thanks for visiting with me and reading along.  I appreciate you dear friends.
