It is later on Sunday evening than I would like for it to be for me to be opening a blank page to write for Monday morning, and at this keystroke, I am wondering what can I say. What can I write that will start your day or come alongside later in the day or even the evening with a word of encouragement?
How was your weekend? Did you spend it with family and/or friends? Did you celebrate the people in your life that you love? Did you give thanks for them? Did you laugh? Did you cry? Did you watch birds and squirrels? Even a hawk or two?
Did you pray? Did you enjoy JESUS?
If you did — you had a blessed weekend!
1 Chronicles 16:33-35 New Living Translation 33 Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord,
for he is coming to judge the earth.
34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 35 Cry out, “Save us, O God of our salvation! Gather and rescue us from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you.” source
It’s late to begin tonight for a Monday post but I am.
A verse I am keeping close. Perhaps it will minister to you today.
1 Peter 5:10 English Standard Version 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. source
I added some reading material toBecause We need to Know. I hope you will check it out. Let me explain — for those of you who are email subscribers, only when I post to this front page do you get a notice; all additional pages here at The White Stone give no email inbox notice when I add to them.
In case you might have overlooked it – that’s easy to do if you only read here from your phone — Desktops give a wider screen.
Another week has zipped through our hands. I am wondering how much slipped by without its due notice. No doubt some. From my view vantage this morning I am noticing my parasol tree’s leaves have turned, mostly yellow now.
The sun is shy this morning and the temps are cooler. I think Fall is finally in the air here in LA.
Mainly, I’m just touching base and saying hello. I think I don’t have a lot to say these days.
This world is a mess but GOD is still good.
As beautiful as is my view from this desk I know life is hard and getting more — more what? What is life here? Oh yes — a vapor.
James 4:14 New King James Version 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.source
Parasol trees. I have just one. A gift from a dear friend. I think of her often. Would you like to know more about Parasol trees? LookHERE.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
