Oh, That’s Just . . .

The News Personality said: ” Oh that’s just Joe.”  And immediately a phrase from Scripture came to mind: “from the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

Listen. Listen for a while. And when you hear a similar stream of nouns, verbs and adjectives come from one’s mouth, then you should take note of this Scripture and know his/her verbiage is coming from within — the overflow from his/her heart.

Luke 6:44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit — figs aren’t picked from thorn bushes, nor grapes from a briar patch. 45 The good person produces good things from the store of good in his heart, while the evil person produces evil things from the store of evil in his heart. For his mouth speaks what overflows from his heart.
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ but not do what I say?

via Luke 6:44-46 KJV;CJB – For every tree is known by his own – Bible Gateway.

The implication that I gathered from the News Spokesperson was ‘don’t be so critical, don’t critique what Joe says, don’t take his words so seriously.’

There’s a lesson I want to learn here, perhaps you do too.

I want you to take my words seriously. I want you to be able to take my words to the bank, cash the check and be richer for having heard my words. I want to be known as a person who says what she means and means what she says and I want my words to honor Jesus and bless you. And I want this to be constant. I hope no one ever says of me: ” Oh, that’s just Kathie.”

No, let it be ‘Oh, that Kathie, she speaks JESUS’.

For his mouth speaks what overflows from his heart.

Well, Friends. It’s Friday. The weekend is upon us. Yeah!! So enjoy. Plan something relaxing, something fun, something good, something helpful and crown the weekend with worship particularly on Sunday be intentional and seat yourself in a Sunday School class and stay for preaching! :)

ABBA, thank You. Thank You for this message.  And I pray to practice it well. Britton has come to mind and I am asking You to intervene in his medical care, to enlighten the doctors, to find the cause of his fever and infection; to not only find the cause but the cure. I pray You will heal this little boy. Thank You for this National Day of Prayer that is nearly spent. I am grateful for every prayer that was offered to You today for this Nation. HOLY SPIRIT, please call us to keep on praying for America. I get highly charged, ABBA, when I think about our condition. I get highly charged when I think about the corruption, the injustice, the lies, the fraud, the debauchery that goes on day after day in Washington and from shore to shore. I am so sorry. And without You to speak to me, correct me and help me I will surely despair under it all. I long for the day when YESHUA will return as King and rule this place and until then I invite You to help me be a part of the solution and not a party to the corruption. I pray for holy boldness to speak Your Truth; to offer Your Gospel every where I am every day and I pray souls will hear, will believe and be saved.  Thank You, ABBA, in JESUS name.

National Day of Prayer 2014

The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer 2014 is

Investing in Hope… Transforming our Nation Through Prayer!

Investing in hope.  That sounds like a great idea to me! Immediately this comes to mind: My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

ABBA, we publicly acknowledge our hope is in CHRIST alone; in His finished work; only His righteousness and cleansing blood are sufficient to save we the people. Thank You  for birthing America. Please forgive us for corrupting it; forgive us for allowing a minority to close the mouths of the majority; and, ABBA, if we are still the majority, and even if we are not, I pray You will quicken us and save America. Thank You for hearing our prayers today and, HOLY SPIRIT, please inspire, call and empower every Christian in America to live holy and boldly and pray and pray until we the people are moved to repentance. I pray we will live 2 Chronicles 7:14; for if we do I know You will surely save this Land.

Inside and Out

Another empty roll of parchment paper to discard. So I did. But not without injury. :) Not much of a cut but I know it’s there on the left side of my left thumb as I turn it to look. Always something to give thanks about – it wasn’t my right.

And today I noticed it is beginning to heal; another thanks. And I noticed it is healing from the inside out. I can still make a gap in the surface skin but inside it looks better, like it’s coming together.

I think true medical science will bear out that we are designed to heal from the inside out. Sure putting a band-aide on the outside is of some benefit; it shields the wound from further injury and dirt. But without the inner workings of our cells to heal, our injuries and illnesses remain.

It works that way in the Spirit too. We heal from the inside out. Sure good works, changed habits, a friend’s encouragement, and accountability help; they shield the wound from further injury and dirt; but, only the working of the HOLY SPIRIT within the heart of man (woman) will heal the broken, wounded soul.

Truth is all we Christians are a bunch of broken, wounded souls in varying degrees of healing. Odd until you think about it, a soul can have a completely healed wound with only a precious scar remaining and at the same time have another gaping, seeping wound. Do you know why?

Each injury, each wound has its own healing time and most often each healing comes in portion to the time we have submitted that gaping, seeping, hurting, ugly, nasty wound to the GREAT PHYSICIAN, taking every bitter pill He prescribes to be applied to the heart for our healing.

Yes. We heal from the inside out – inside and out.

Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

via Jeremiah 8:21-22 KJV;CJB – For the hurt of the daughter of my – Bible Gateway.

It’s a bitter pill to dispense and a bitter pill to take. There is a Balm in Gilead and we are only soul-sick because we have refused to be healed.

From Jeremiah 8:22 I read on, if you would like to do the same, click HERE.
I highly recommend the CJB version for its bold clarity.

Father, thank You for Jeremiah; for the WORD You have given us there; I pray to learn it and teach it in YESHUA’s name. And, Father, I pray for the sick, that we will be healed, spiritually and physically; and I pray HOLY SPIRIT that You will revive the Church, bring Peace to Israel, and repentance and salvation to America.
