Shall We?

Luke 24.
Perhaps you will read it today.

Particularly verses 44 through 49.

44 Yeshua said to them, “This is what I meant when I was still with you and told you that everything written about me in the Torah of Moshe, the Prophets and the Psalms had to be fulfilled.”
45 Then he opened their minds, so that they could understand the Tanakh,
46 telling them, “Here is what it says: the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day;
47 and in his name repentance leading to forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed to people from all nations, starting with Yerushalayim.
48 You are witnesses of these things.
49 Now I am sending forth upon you what my Father promised, so stay here in the city until you have been equipped with power from above.”  source

Then He opened their minds, so that they could understand the Tanakh.
Some Texts read so that they could understand the Scriptures.

The Tanakh is Scripture.

Of all the things to which we need our minds opened is Scripture, so we can understand.
Yeshua did this for His Disciples and The Comforter, The Teacher He sent – Holy Spirit – still does this today for us, who are His Disciples.
Aren’t you glad?

One more thing. Don’t miss this: repentance leading to forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed to people from all nations.

People NEED repentance leading to forgiveness of sins – but how will they hear, if we do not tell them?
Shall we?

Guaranteed

Matthew 5: “How blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness!
for they will be filled. source

We can hunger and thirst for many things; but, only one thing can we can hunger and thirst for we are guaranteed we will be filled with.
RIGHTEOUSNESS.

GOD’s Righteousness.
If we hunger and thirst for Him He will surely supply His Righteousness to us.

He says so right here, Verse 6, Matthew, chapter 5.
Sermon on the Mount.
The only Perfect Sermon ever recorded.

Same Difference

Quiet. Cool. Rainy.
There’s something pleasant about a day like today — if your life experiences are mine.
And if not, a day like today just might be gloomy.
(Too many of them day after day, would be to me too :)  )
No two lives are alike. No two witnesses report the same event exactly the same.

Does that make one account false?
If one was flat-out lying and did not report what they actually experienced; yes.

The Gospels of Scripture.
Matthew. Mark. Luke and John.

Are their accounts exactly the same?
If you have read the whole of them you know each is different even when recording the same event; or one leaving a happening out altogether.

Is either of them wrong?
If they are (and they are not) that means the Bible cannot be trusted.
IF they had recorded exactly the same about every single event THEN their recordings would be suspect.

Life experiences shape or perhaps disfigure us individually and uniquely.
BUT GOD heals us all the same by the Same means – The Blood of JESUS and His Scripture applied by Holy Spirit.

So gloomy or pleasant, we who have believed, know the SON is always interceding for us, always with us whether the sun is hiding or shining; whether the wind is gentle or howling; HE is always with us and His Face shines upon us.

Romans 8: 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. source
