Bound Together By This Day

There’s a baby being born today; not sure boy or girl; but a brave mother. Brave because this baby was conceived in sin but the mother then made a godly choice. She decided to give the baby life rather than kill it by abortion. And then she went a step further in love  – she is giving the baby in adoption to a family that is prepared to receive the baby. Prepared to give the baby lots and lots of love and all things a baby needs – a soft bed, warm formula, clean clothes and some colorful toys too.

Will you pray with me for this blessed event and all those connected?

ABBA, thank You for her decision. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for the adopting family. Thank You for doctors and nurses. Thank You for the laboring process and I pray for this dear young woman that she will have strength and courage. That You will comfort and assure her and for this family that they will forever be grateful for this precious life that You have placed in their family. I ask that this child grow in likeness of Your own Dear Son, The LORD JESUS CHRIST and that You receive honor and glory throughout these lives bound together by this day.

13 For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;

When I awake, I am still with You.

The Long Way Home

This played early this morning. I cried – worship tears. Hope you do too.

May have another word or two later today but if not this will surely carry us today. Our love to you all.

Birthdays

Our Bradford Exchange catalog came yesterday. It is a tribute to Thomas Kinkade. It is filled with items displaying his beautiful work.  I have enjoyed Kinkade’s work for many years – I was saddened when he died in April of this year.  But I’m off point.

The catalog is filled with items to purchase and, yes, the promotion of Christmas is predominant. And in all the predominance JESUS gets one page. One page! And whose birthday is Christmas supposed to be? And so I have been singing a song this morning. Let me share it with you.

But today is not Christmas. Today we do not officially celebrate the birth of our Savior – but we should!

In fact, celebrating that JESUS is would make Isabel’s birthday all the more fun!  She is the big 10 today!  So today is a day of celebrating.

For sure. For sure. Each of us has something we can celebrate today.

So today’s challenge: What are you celebrating today?

Thank You, JESUS, for coming for me! Thank You for abiding forever for me.  I love You, LORD. And, ABBA, thank You, for ten years ago today. The birth of joy to this family. It is my heart’s desire that all her days she lives to give You glory. That she grows to be a godly woman, a woman with kindness on her lips and deeds of good walked out with feet bearing Your Gospel and hands helping the poor and the lost.  And not just Isabel but all of us who have received You as LORD and Savior. Make it so, LORD. Make it so.
