A Good Difference

An even quieter morning here than other mornings.

It’s a good thing. I’m thinking. Prayer Journaling, actually.

And I am willing to give you a peek with the hope it will make a good difference for you.

You see I often wonder okay what’s ABBA’s will for me.  And even recently I voiced that perhaps I was not abiding in His Will for me well. I think this morning I have some ‘light’.

Who am I? I asked myself.  Okay. Let’s see.

First I am a born-again woman. Spiritually born again by the HOLY SPIRIT because of my faith in and dependence upon the life, death, blood, and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST. So that being true, I am accountable to HIM. And I am reminded of what He expects of me.

Micah 6:8 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

8 Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you — no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.

Okay. That’s my plumb-bob for all my days here on planet Earth. Yet you and I both know there’s a whole lot of avenues to walk under that umbrella.

So who else am I first after being ABBA’s Little Girl?

Jerry’s wife. And what comes with that? More than I am listing here. :) And yet for he and I, in general, and at this season of our life together, I am home and he is at the office. So for the next 8 or so hours, he has responsibilities there and I have responsibilities here. He is expected to conduct himself as a draftsman and I am expected to conduct myself as a maintainer of the premises?   And the way I THINK about that will make my day or break it!

Who else am I?

Mother to daughters. Grandmother to GRANDS. None of them live with us. Even so, there are privileges I have and yes responsibilities I have toward them. So what do I ‘owe’ them today? To love them and point them to JESUS in word and deed. Another huge umbrella of activity! I am getting the idea that ABBA gives us HUGE, HUGE amounts of decisions and freedoms walking this planet!

Romans 13:8 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

8 Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

via Romans 13:8 KJ21 – Owe no man anything, but to love one – Bible Gateway.

Who else?

An American citizen in a particular State, City, and Community.  So what are my privileges, and responsibilities here?
To act justly, love grace, and walk in purity with my God?
That will do it, won’t it?

So what is ABBA’s will for me today under the umbrella of acting justly, loving grace, and walking in purity with HIM?

For sure I have a modest, warm, treasured space between four walls, a roof, and a concrete slab to maintain. My Pastor often says (I’ll paraphrase) that God’s House (meaning the building Christians gather in for corporate worship) doesn’t have to be the most elaborate and expensive building on the block but it should be the best kept.  I think that will work for the houses of born-again people too. I imagine Heaven has no clutter or chaos — I think we should practice that while we are here, don’t you?

So as a Momma and Grandmother, what will I do today? The calendar shows I am free of picking up from car lines, doctor visits, field trips, etc. But even so, it will be exciting as I pray for my BABIES to hear what ABBA says will encourage and point them to JESUS today. And look at all the means we have to communicate: prayer, phone calls, texts, e-cards, snail mail cards, Facebook, Twitter; even in-person face-to-face visits! As I said, ABBA has given us HUGE, HUGE amounts of decisions and freedoms!

And finally, as an American citizen, what will I do today to fulfill my responsibilities as an American citizen? What will I do today to make America a better place to live?

I’m not wondering anymore what ABBA’s will is for me today. A whole world fits in His will for me and there are lots and lots of things I can do today that are MY privileges and responsibilities and changing the sheets on the bed, throwing a load of laundry in the washer, publishing this post, and praising HIM while doing it; and much, much more fits His Will for me today BEAUTIFULLY!!

A good difference.

Yep! This post sure has been good for me. And I hope for you too.

Choose

I borrowed this from a Friend’s Facebook page. It’s TRUTH. And we have the opportunity to live it today and perhaps tomorrow. (See James 3:14)

Truth!

Joshua 24:14-16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 Now therefore, [reverently] fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the [Euphrates] River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

16 The people answered, Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods;

via Joshua 24:14-16 AMP – Now therefore, [reverently] fear the – Bible Gateway.

And the GOD we CHOOSE today will govern every other choice we make today. Let us choose wisely!

The First Day

is well underway. Actually, the day is waning and evening of the first day is coming on strong!

2013

We welcome you because we know each of the moments you intend our ABBA holds them  in His Holy, Just and Loving Hands before He allows them to greet our faces.

I could come to our page with regrets and siting my failures of 2012 or with resolutions for 2013 but I am determined to come with only this.

I have one word for me in 2013.

Live

Live for His glory and all my other hopes will come along in their appointed times; like shaping up and shedding fat cells; like less TV viewing and more reading; a cleaner house;  more shepherding my classmates and lots of blessing my beloved hubby and family.

We have a great adventure ahead or a gloomy existence — it really is our choice — moment by moment.

Help me choose well by praying often for me — won’t you?

It’s Thursday!

Thursday.

It’s Thursday and Thursday, until I became amiss, was/is World Evangelism Prayer Day for me. When I began the prayer project I would choose a place and pray for a month for the people of that location each Thursday. And so this morning, I realize afresh: It’s Thursday!

I looked at the map and thought how will I ever choose. Even closing my eyes and pointing didn’t seem to be the right plan.  I was familiar enough with the map right or left even with my eyes closed would not be THAT random.   So I closed my eyes, turned my back, and reached over my shoulder – I’m not kidding. :)

Bamako.

Bamako, Mali in West Africa.

Bamako

It is a troubled place and for sure prayer is needed. Perhaps you would join me today and for all of January’s Thursdays. I have two places for you to visit to see the needs and work in Bamako.  Click the link for the story:

ABBA, thank You for making me aware of a place that I did not know existed. Thank You for the work that is being done there in JESUS’ name and thank You for protection and what You will yet do there to rescue people from evil now and forever. I pray for the people of Bamako that they will see The GREAT LIGHT and will escape the darkness of religion. Holy Spirit, I pray You will soften hearts to the Gospel and Your Message of repentance, forgiveness, and eternal peace will be received. I pray You will raise up many prayer warriors to make a difference for JESUS’ sake in Bamako.

Blessings of Joy and Peace,
