Pretty Quickly

The question he asked today: How can you begin to love yourself better today?

I got an answer pretty quickly.

Faithfully do the things needed to honestly care, tend and minister to your mind, body, and spirit.

Simple, huh? Yes and no. It’s a process, a matter of getting back on the wagon each time we fall off, eventually, we won’t fall off as often.  :)

Matthew 22: NLT 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” source

Another point made was if we do not care for ourselves, it’s a pretty good bet we are not caring for others either and perhaps even our love for GOD is affected adversely as well.  Actually, this is what he said:

“I’m no Bible scholar, but I can’t help but notice those last two words: “as yourself.” In one statement Jesus links the ideas of loving God, loving your neighbor, and loving yourself. In my experience, this rings true. All three of those loves tend to rise and fall together. The more you love one, the more you love the others. People who never learn to love their true selves are often also limited in their love for God and others.”     By Mike Foster, A Five Day Devo (Packed with Grace) People of the Second Chance, Day 3 located at  Bible.com.

Practice Truth

Truth.

I just wanted a means, something to put on the page for today to help keep The White Stone on your radar and, of course, in the process hopefully give you something helpful.

This!

Esther 1:13  (TLV) 13 .  . . for it was the king’s practice to consult experts in matters of law and justice.  source

That’s what opened and that’s what I saw.

Key words: practice to consult experts

The complete verse:  Esther 1: (TLV) 13 So the king consulted the wise men who discerned the times, for it was the king’s practice to consult experts in matters of law and justice. source

What better counsel could we have? To consult experts in the field of   – – –  whatever the field of question or decision I would say.  But how do we choose an expert? VERY CAREFULLY!  For me, my experts MUST line up with Scripture.  Without that alignment with the Bible I cannot shall we say trust their expertise.

For it was the king’s practice.

Abba, thank You. Thank You for this passage of Scripture. And thank You that I just happened :) upon it today. Thankfully America does not have a king but we do have a president so it is for our President that I ask that You move upon him to more and more consult experts not only in fields of law and justice but experts in all matters before him for decisions. I pray those experts will not be experts of only earthly wisdom but will have heavenly wisdom as well – Your Wisdom, Father.  And not just President Trump but Vice President Pence and Attorney General Sessions, Secretary of Education, Secretary of HUD, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, each and every person in the Trump Administration, I pray You will make Yourself and Your Ways known to them and I pray they will respond accordingly.  Thank You, Abba.

The Day After

Abba, thank You for yesterday; thank You for today; thank You for tomorrow – You are LORD of them all; what was we cannot change; what is to come we do not know and so there is today. We are so very privileged, this group of sisters; we have You as Father and we have this great country with its luxuries to live in; we have Your Word preserved and written in so many translations and so easily and readily available to us. We can carry it in our hands, read it from digital screens of every sort but I am thinking the place most needed is our hearts – that Your Word be so fresh and well-known to us that at any moment You can bring it up from our hearts and display it on the screens of our minds and it will correct us, comfort us, strengthen us, guide us and empower us to please You with our words and our actions. So I am praying for You Holy Spirit to quicken in us a holy desire to meet You on the pages of Your Word. I pray that our appetite for Your Word will exceed and leave in the dust every other appetite of this human existence that we have.
And so there is today and we are well into this day already, even so we have yet to see all the huge and small and really good things You can yet accomplish in us and through us today – thank You. So I pray for my beautiful and fully loved sisters that each one know with a deep certainty that You are not finished in us that the best is yet to be – You are more than enough for us. We come to be filled and poured out for Your glory and in service to others – at least we are here for You to get us to the place that we are willing to be filled and poured out for You. DADDY GOD, I love You, I want to love You more – make it so, make it so for JESUS sake.
